KATElyn Grundy

Originally from Cartersville, Georgia, Katelyn Grundy is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at Soka University of America. She studies ceramics under Don Ryan and has been working at Soka’s ceramic studio since 2021, maintaining the studio, assisting students, and producing her own pieces. In 2023 she spent a semester apprenticing under a ceramicist in Montpellier, France. She specializes in wheel-thrown functional pieces, such as cups, bowls, and vases, and is currently exploring the world of hand-building and slab work.
