Don Ryan
Born in Newport Beach, CA, Don Ryan earned his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and further pursued an MFA at the University of California, Los Angeles. He studied ceramics with the likes of Ken Ferguson, Adrian Saxe, John Mason, among others. In 1989, Don was an Artist in Residence in Perth, Western Australia, and in the 90s he started making fine handmade dinnerware. He’s taught at many ceramics institutions across Southern California and continues to teach at Soka University, Saddleback College, and Coastline Community College.
